ARNOLD ROSSEN

Mr. Rossen is the President & CEO of AHR Consultants and has over 25 years experience as a consultant for large and small companies and public sector organizations throughout Canada and abroad.  Arnold has been responsible for the management of over 100 major projects for dozens of clients in finance, venture capital, real estate, Information Technology (IT), media, transportation and logistics, sales & marketing, natural resources, defense, fitness & healthcare, as well as manufacturing & packaging sectors.  Public sector clientele include federal, provincial and municipal governments and agencies.

Prior to AHR Consultants, Arnold Rossen worked as a Project Manager at the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (OMNR) responsible for the largest portfolio of lands in Ontario (representing 87% of the province’s land mass), 4200 facilities, extensive infrastructure (including roads, bridges, locks, docks, airstrips etc.) and equipment (vehicles, machines, systems, inventoires etc.) for the Province of Ontario.  He lead a team of programmers, analysts, and specialists to develop asset management software for the portfolio.  Arnold also led acquisition, development and disposition of major capital projects and assets which included the main office relocation to Peterborough, Ontario.

Previously, Arnold Rossen worked in Consulting Engineering and Project Management roles with NORR/SH&G (a consortium of NORR Partnership and SH&G Architects) and Rossen Construction Services Ltd. (a family company in Western Canada).   In these roles he was managing facilities planning assignments, productivity studies, overseeing construction projects in the aerospace, defense, transportation, steel, garment, metal fabrication , printing and plastics industries.

 

​Arnold Rossen has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queen’s University.  He also has his Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) as well as a past member of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.

MEL BARSKY

Position: Principal

 

Mel is President & COO of INTERVENT Canada which he co-founded in 2007.  Mel heads the Canadian operations, strategy, sales, and finance.  Mel has over 25 years’ experience in venture capital, financial services, healthcare and information technology. INTERVENT has served over 2 million patients globally and over 200 corporations, and has been published in more than 100 peer reviewed major medical journals demonstrating the efficacy of its programs and improvement in health outcomes. Mel has recently launched a direct to consumer INTERVENT Medical Weight Management in partnership with Nestlés Health Sciences.

Prior to INTERxVENT Canada, Mel came from iSequent Inc., where, as President, he successfully launched this new venture’s financial services software to the investment communities in Canada, the US, Japan, England, Australia and the UK.

Previously, Mel was a Founding Partner and Executive Director of Scotiabank Private Equity Investments, where, as a venture capitalist, he invested in and provided governance to private and public companies, primarily in financial services and information technology sectors.

Before Scotiabank, Mel was Director of Business Development & Sales Strategy for corporate card and travel products at American Express. Mel has also worked as an equity trader on the floor of the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Mel has an MBA from Queen’s University and degree in Economics, Political Science and Computer Science from the University of Toronto.  He is a former Director of the Queen’s University Alumni Association, Filogix, Q9 Networks and current Director at the Ontario Pharmaceutical Marketing Association; PrevCan Inc., INTERVENT Canada.

 

BARRY GOLDBERG

Position: Information Technology Manager

 

Mr. Barry Goldberg has more than 20 years experience in Information Technology and is an expert in hardware, networking, storage, and disaster planning.Most recently, Barry has been working at the Bank of Montreal (BMO) as Storage Area Network specialist responsible for BMO’s SAN infrastructure which includes data integrity, consistency and complete accessibility by the Bank’s clients.  He is responsible for disaster recovery planning and securing network environments.

Prior to BMO, Barry worked for many top 100 organizations across Canada including Manulife where he was responsible for the successful Windows 7 operating system migration for thousands of employees.  At RBC Barry successfully completed a data centre migration from head office in Toronto to other undisclosed locations.  Prior to RBC, Mr. Goldberg was responsible for trading floor and hardware maintenance for National Bank of Canada.  Barry also has international experience having worked in the Middle East as an IT Specialist.

Barry Goldberg holds numerous industry certifications including MCSE, EMCISA, EMCSA and SCSP.  He regularly participates in trade shows and exhibitions to keep on top of industry developments.
